Katie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been working with children, adolescents, and families since 2005. She worked for 6 years at a Day-Treatment Program that served adolescents involved with the juvenile justice system and other at-risk youth. She held positions as Director of Treatment and Director of Operations during her time with that program. Katie also has over 6 years of experience working with children and adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting where she provided individual, group and family therapy to the patients with whom she served. Katie began providing therapy in an outpatient setting in 2016 serving clients ages 6 and up with individual and family therapy and is also trained in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy, which is very effective in treating conditions such as, but not limited to, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression and some personality disorders. Katie joined Orlando Psychiatric Associates in 2019 as Director of Therapy Services and is excited to be a part of the OPA team and to contribute to the excellent quality of care that OPA provides to our Central Florida community.
