Krisnamor is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. She was born in Caracas, Venezuela. She started her career in the medical field as an EMT/fire fighter at the Caracas Fire Department in 1993. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Universidad Nacional Experimental Rómulo Gallegos in 1998. She worked as an emergency room Nurse until she moved to the United States in 2002. After moving to the United States, she worked as a case manager in orthopedics, and as a Pediatric Psychiatric Nurse. While working with children in Psychiatry, she developed great interest in developmental disabilities as well as sensory integration disorder. After completing her Master’s degree in family practice, she worked as a primary care provider after which she decided to return to Psychiatry which is her passion. As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Krisnamor brings empathy, an easygoing communication style, and a sweet sense of humor, making it easy for her to talk to patients and family members. Krisnamor has been very successful with the holistic approach of listening and educating her patients about medication and options of treatment. She is a firm believer for patients to really understands why they are taking medication and discusses with them how they feel about the treatment plan. From her love of the healthcare profession to her empathetic nature as a driving force, Krisnamor remains steadfast in her abilities and passionate for the mental health population. When not at work, Krisnamor enjoys spending time with her children and reading.
