Dr. Purna Surapaneni, MD is a highly experienced Psychiatrist with over 49 years of
dedication to the field of mental health. He specializes in Psychiatry as well as Child and
Adolescent Psychiatry, bringing a comprehensive and compassionate approach to the
care of patients across the lifespan.

Dr. Surapaneni completed his medical education at Guntur Medical College, graduating
in 1977, and also attended Michigan State University. Throughout his distinguished
career, he has practiced in a wide range of clinical settings, including inpatient hospitals,
intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and private practice. This diverse background
allows him to provide well-rounded, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s
unique needs.

He has extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as
depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, ADHD, behavioral
concerns, and sleep disorders, among others. Dr. Surapaneni is known for his
