Claribel Diaz was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico. She graduated from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Arts with a major in Psychology. She attended graduate school at University of Phoenix in 1998 in master’s degree in counseling. Claribel continued her doctor degree in Nova Southeastern University of Florida in Education. She has worked with children, adolescent, adults, couples, and families. Claribel Diaz has a strong base of counseling experience working in a wide variety of settings that include: Partial hospitalization, Private Practice and Neuropsychiatrist Clinic, University and Community Settings. Her specialty areas include depression, bipolar disorder, general mood disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, paranoid personality disorder, disruptive behavior, oppositional defiant disorder and attention deficit hyperactive disorder. She is also experienced in the areas of premarital, marital and family therapy. She brings over 17 years of experience working in the mental field. Claribel is eclectic and uses a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, Reality Based and Psychoeducation to individuals age five and up.
