Rachel Rosado Tavárez is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern at OPA Behavioral Health. She was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Ms. Tavárez earned her master’s degree in Psychology with a major in Mental Health Counseling from Albizu University in Miami, FL, and graduated with distinction. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. She completed her clinical practicum internship at Mercy Behavioral Health in Hialeah, FL where she obtained experience with adults with a range of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and prolonged grief. Currently, she provides bilingual mental health services in English and Spanish to children, adolescents, and adults at OPA. She utilizes evidenced-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Behavioral Parent Training. Ms. Tavárez is passionate about supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and growth.
