Vanessa Lisojo is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and discovered her passion for mental health during high school. Her journey into counseling solidified during her first year of college when she gained a deeper understanding of her own mental health and the profound impact that therapy can have on individuals.
Vanessa takes a person-centered approach to therapy, valuing authentic connection as the foundation for meaningful growth. She strives to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their journey toward healing. She is passionate about working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, personality disorders, and trauma-related challenges. Additionally, she is committed to further developing her expertise in LGBTQIA+ mental health and women’s mental health.
Beyond her work as a therapist, Vanessa enjoys incorporating shared interests into sessions when appropriate, including her love for Star Wars and other pop culture elements, as a way to foster connection and engagement.
