Ida Rivera is a Hispanic Masters Level Practitioner in Florida. She is a graduate of Webster University, St. Louis, MO (Orlando, FL Campus) with a Master’s degree in Mental Health, Marriage and Family and Guidance Counseling, with an undergraduate from the Catholic University, Ponce, PR and a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign languages: French, Spanish, English and Education. Ida is a retired Educator/Instructor having taught Middle, High School, and Adults – Job Site ESOL. She has had post-graduate training counseling populations in: community mental health within the Crisis Stabilization Unit-CSU- Baker Act Facility, CORE Certified – Domestic Violence Trained, Florida State Mediator Certified, College, Grade schools, In-home, and Inpatient/Outpatient settings. Ida currently works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families providing both psychotherapy and mental health assessments with a specialization in Cognitive Behavioral and Solution-Focused therapy. She has counseled various populations with dual-diagnosis issues that include: depression, anxiety, mood disturbance, and severe trauma along with chemical dependency/abuse issues. Ida is in the process of becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida. She has also done Consultant work in the hypnotherapy field. Ida is Multi-lingual and has expanded her therapeutic growing knowledge by becoming a Certified Hypnosis Therapist –CHT.
